Apple adds former Wall Street Journal editor to its China PR team
It isn’t exceptional to see Apple employ from the media to staff its PR list, and now the iPhone-producer has done as such in Asia, as well. Wei Gu, a long-term China correspondent most as of late with The Wall Street Journal, has joined Apple to take up a PR Director part based out of its office in Shanghai, China.
Beijing-based Carolyn Wu leads Apple’s media relations in China, and Wei will add critical experience to the group, having put in over 18 years in media, crosswise over both print and communicate. That incorporates over 10 years as an editorialist at Reuters in New York and Hong Kong, and near four years at the Journal, where she expounded on business and markets as its Hong Kong-based China Wealth and Luxury Editor.
The Journal is set to make cutbacks over its worldwide workplaces in an offer to rebuild its business, however, Wei’s flight isn’t identified with that. She cleared out the paper in August and spent a brief period outsourcing in correspondences before playing the Apple part, as per LinkedIn.
